Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Sesame seeds and green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.

  • Add olive oil, then stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

  • Add broccoli and sauté for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender.

  • In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, water, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.

  • Pour sauce into skillet and bring to a simmer.

  • Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened.

  • Serve over rice and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
