Description

This Easter Toffee Bark is the perfect combination of sweet, salty, and crunchy! Layers of crispy saltine crackers, rich buttery toffee, and smooth white chocolate come together in a colorful, festive treat. Topped with pastel sprinkles and Easter candies, this easy-to-make dessert is perfect for holiday celebrations, Easter baskets, or gifting to family and friends!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 48 saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar (packed)
  • 6 ounces white chocolate chips
  • 12 drops gel food coloring (optional)
  • Easter and Springtime-themed sprinkles and candy (to taste)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer to cover the baking sheet.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together, stirring constantly. Once it starts to boil, continue stirring for about 3 minutes.
  • Pour the hot toffee mixture evenly over the saltine crackers, using a spatula to spread it out if necessary.
  • Bake for 5 minutes, until the toffee is bubbling.
  • Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the white chocolate chips over the hot toffee. Let them sit for a few minutes to soften, then spread evenly with a spatula. If using food coloring, mix it into the melted chocolate before spreading.
  • Add Easter-themed sprinkles and candies on top while the chocolate is still soft.
  • Let the bark cool completely at room temperature or refrigerate for about 1 hour until firm.
  • Once set, break into pieces and enjoy!

Notes

  • For best results, use high-quality white chocolate chips or candy melts for smoother melting.
  • If your white chocolate isn’t melting properly, add a teaspoon of coconut oil to help smooth it out.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or in the fridge for a firmer texture.
  • Try different toppings like chopped nuts, mini marshmallows, or crushed pretzels for a fun twist!
