Description
A refreshing summer drink made with watermelon, ginger, and sparkling water, perfect for hot days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons lime juice (about 1 lime)
- 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust for sweetness)
- 2 cups sparkling water or club soda
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the watermelon cubes, grated ginger, lime juice, and honey or agave syrup. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove any pulp, pressing down with a spoon to extract as much juice as possible.
- Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the watermelon juice mixture over the ice, filling each glass about two-thirds full.
- Top each glass with sparkling water or club soda and gently stir to combine.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the watermelon mixture before blending.
- Substitute the honey or agave syrup with a sugar-free sweetener for a lower-calorie option.
