A delicious recipe for tuna steaks served with a creamy garlic sauce and a fresh salad.

- 1 pound fresh tuna steaks (about 2 steaks, ½ inch thick)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 2 cups mixed salad greens
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the tuna steaks with salt and pepper.
- Once the oil is hot, add the tuna steaks and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer if desired.
- Remove from heat and let rest.
- In a bowl, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard. Mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a large salad bowl, combine the cherry tomatoes, cucumber, and mixed greens. Toss gently to combine.
- To serve, slice the tuna steaks and place them on a plate alongside the salad.
- Drizzle the creamy garlic sauce over the tuna and garnish with chopped parsley.
- Serve with avocado slices on the side.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the creamy garlic sauce.
- You can substitute the tuna with salmon or grilled chicken for a different flavor profile.
