Slow-cooked to perfection, this Texas-style beef brisket is juicy, smoky, and melt-in-your-mouth tender with a rich BBQ glaze that’s perfect for sandwiches or serving over mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 lb beef brisket
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

  • Combine all dry spices and rub over the brisket.

  • Place brisket in the slow cooker and pour beef broth around it.

  • Cover and cook on low for 8–10 hours or high for 5–6 hours.

  • Remove brisket, slice or shred.

  • Add BBQ sauce to slow cooker juices, return brisket, and toss to coat.

  • Serve warm with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • For a smokier taste, use liquid smoke or smoked paprika.
  • Sear the brisket beforehand for extra depth.
