Description
Steak and Shrimp Kabobs are a delicious grilling delight, featuring tender sirloin steak and succulent shrimp, marinated and grilled with colorful vegetables.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 medium onion, cut into wedges
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Wooden or metal skewers
Instructions
- Combine olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, paprika, and salt in a bowl. Add the steak cubes and shrimp, tossing to coat. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Thread the marinated steak, shrimp, and vegetables onto the skewers, alternating between the steak, shrimp, and pieces of bell pepper and onion.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the steak is cooked to your desired doneness and the shrimp are opaque.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, try marinating the steak and shrimp overnight.
- You can also customize the vegetables by adding zucchini, cherry tomatoes, or mushrooms.
- For a spicy kick, sprinkle some red pepper flakes over the kabobs before grilling.
