Description

Smash Burger Tacos are a delicious fusion of classic smash burgers and tacos, offering a flavor explosion that you’ll love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined; do not overwork the meat.
  2. Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Divide the beef mixture into 8 equal portions (about 2 ounces each).
  3. Place each portion in the skillet and use a spatula to smash it down into a thin patty. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until browned, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until cooked through.
  4. While the patties are cooking, warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave until pliable.
  5. Assemble the tacos by placing a patty on each tortilla. Top with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard. Drizzle the sauce over the assembled tacos.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the tacos.
  • Swap out the ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
