Description
Smash Burger Tacos are a delicious fusion of classic smash burgers and tacos, offering a flavor explosion that you’ll love!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined; do not overwork the meat.
- Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Divide the beef mixture into 8 equal portions (about 2 ounces each).
- Place each portion in the skillet and use a spatula to smash it down into a thin patty. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until browned, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until cooked through.
- While the patties are cooking, warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave until pliable.
- Assemble the tacos by placing a patty on each tortilla. Top with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles.
- In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard. Drizzle the sauce over the assembled tacos.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the tacos.
- Swap out the ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
