Simmered with garlic, herbs, and a touch of cream, this comforting recipe is perfect for a cozy family dinner or a special occasion. With its deep flavors and creamy texture, this pasta dish is guaranteed to become a household favorite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef stew meat, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 oz pasta (penne or any favorite shape)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the beef until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté the onion until soft, then add garlic and cook until fragrant.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, heavy cream, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Return the beef to the skillet and let it simmer until tender, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  • While the beef is simmering, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  • Drain the pasta and stir it into the creamy beef sauce.
  • Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese, letting it melt into the sauce for a rich, cheesy finish.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

    • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
    • Reheat gently on the stovetop with a splash of beef broth or cream to maintain the sauce’s texture.
    • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream.
    • This dish pairs well with garlic bread or a simple side salad.
