Description
A flavorful dish featuring succulent shrimp and tender asparagus sautéed in garlic butter.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with paprika, salt, and pepper, and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the asparagus and a splash of water. Cover and steam for about 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet, add lemon juice, and toss everything together until well combined. Cook for an additional minute to heat through.
- Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add red pepper flakes when cooking the shrimp.
- Substitute the asparagus with broccoli or green beans for a different flavor and texture.
