- 1 box red velvet cake mix (plus ingredients to prepare)
- 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whipped cream and chocolate shavings for topping (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a springform pan.
Prepare red velvet cake batter and pour into pan. Bake for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
Pour cheesecake mixture over partially baked cake.
Bake for 40–45 minutes until set. Cool and chill at least 4 hours before serving.
