A show-stopping dessert with a rich red velvet cake base and a smooth, creamy cheesecake layer — perfect for holidays or celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix (plus ingredients to prepare)
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream and chocolate shavings for topping (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a springform pan.

  • Prepare red velvet cake batter and pour into pan. Bake for 10 minutes.

  • Meanwhile, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.

  • Pour cheesecake mixture over partially baked cake.

  • Bake for 40–45 minutes until set. Cool and chill at least 4 hours before serving.
