Enjoy all the classic flavors of a Philly cheesesteak in meatloaf form! This hearty dish is cheesy, savory, and stuffed with bell peppers and onions for an irresistible twist on a favorite.


Ingredients

  • pounds ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Extra cheese for topping

Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a loaf pan with parchment or grease well.

    • In a large bowl, combine beef, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, pepper, garlic powder, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper.

    • Fold in cheese gently. Shape into a loaf and place in prepared pan.

    • Bake for 40–45 minutes. Top with extra cheese and broil for 2–3 minutes until melted and bubbly.

    • Rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

 

Notes

  • Add mushrooms or red peppers for extra cheesesteak flair.
  • Serve with hoagie rolls or mashed potatoes.
