Description

Delicious and festive brownies shaped like stars, perfect for patriotic celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • Red and blue sprinkles or colored sugar for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or on the stovetop.
  3. Stir in the granulated sugar until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  7. Fold in the white chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  11. Once cooled, use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out star shapes from the brownies.
  12. Decorate the star brownies with red and blue sprinkles or colored sugar for a festive touch.
  13. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, consider adding a teaspoon of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
  • You can substitute the white chocolate chips with dark chocolate chips for a different taste.
