Description

This Orange Teriyaki Salmon is the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy! The salmon is coated in a rich, homemade orange teriyaki glaze and baked to perfection. A quick and delicious meal ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • ½ cup orange juice (freshly squeezed)
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (mixed with 2 tbsp water)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Make the Sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine orange juice, soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer.

  • Thicken the Sauce: Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.

  • Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Brush generously with the orange teriyaki sauce.

  • Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, basting once halfway through.

  • Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve with rice or steamed veggies. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For a caramelized glaze, broil the salmon for the last 2 minutes.
  • You can marinate the salmon in the sauce for 15-30 minutes for even more flavor.
  • Pairs well with jasmine rice, stir-fried vegetables, or a fresh Asian-inspired salad.
