Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (mixed with 2 tbsp water)
- 2 cups cooked white or brown rice
- 1 cup steamed broccoli
- ½ cup shredded carrots
- 2 tbsp green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
Cook the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat if needed.
Make the Sauce: Add garlic and ginger to the beef, then stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
Thicken the Sauce: Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef.
Assemble the Bowls: Divide the cooked rice into bowls. Top with teriyaki beef, steamed broccoli, and shredded carrots.
