Description
Mediterranean Chicken Patties are flavorful and easy-to-make patties made with ground chicken and a blend of Mediterranean herbs and spices.

- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well combined.
- Add the egg to the mixture and stir until everything is evenly incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. You should have approximately 8 patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
- Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
- Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
- Serve warm, garnished with additional parsley or alongside a yogurt sauce if desired.
Notes
- For added flavor, mix in some crumbled feta cheese or chopped sun-dried tomatoes into the chicken mixture.
- Serve the patties in pita bread with fresh vegetables and tzatziki sauce for a delicious Mediterranean-inspired meal.
