Description

This quick and easy Korean-inspired dish features seasoned ground beef in a sweet, savory, and spicy sauce. Perfect over rice or wrapped in lettuce!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Cooked rice, for serving
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain excess fat.

  • Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

  • Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and ginger. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.

  • Serve over rice, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Adjust spice level by increasing or decreasing red pepper flakes. This also works great in lettuce wraps or rice bowls.
