Description
Korean Beef Bulgogi is a delicious and easy-to-make dish featuring marinated flank steak that is grilled or pan-fried to perfection.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, rice vinegar, gochujang, and black pepper. Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add the thinly sliced flank steak to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer, cooking in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve the bulgogi over cooked rice and enjoy!
Notes
- For a sweeter flavor, add an extra tablespoon of brown sugar or honey to the marinade.
- Substitute flank steak with sirloin or ribeye for a different texture and taste.
