Description

Steak burritos are the perfect combination of bold flavors and satisfying textures. Tender, marinated steak, seasoned rice, beans, and fresh toppings come together in a warm tortilla to create a filling and delicious meal. Whether you’re making them for a quick dinner or meal prepping for the week, these burritos are a must-try for any Tex-Mex lover.

Ingredients

  • Ground beef
  • Bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper
  • Refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • Unsalted butter, melted
  • Garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Meat – In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat, then stir in crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Let cool slightly.

  • Prepare the Dough – Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the crescent dough on a lightly floured surface, pressing seams together to form a solid sheet.

  • Assemble the Rollups – Spread the beef and bacon mixture evenly over the dough. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. Roll the dough into a log and slice into 1-inch pieces.

  • Garlic Butter Topping – In a small bowl, mix melted butter with minced garlic. Brush this over the tops of the rollups.

  • Bake – Place rollups on a lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

  • Serve and Enjoy – Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, and serve with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Substitute ground beef with turkey or plant-based meat for a lighter option.
  • Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 5-10 minutes.
  • These rollups freeze well; just bake straight from the freezer at 375°F for 15-18 minutes.
