Description
Delicious and juicy ground turkey burgers that are easy to make and perfect for a flavorful meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, and your favorite condiments for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, oregano, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until just combined; avoid overmixing to keep the burgers tender.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties to the skillet. Cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the burgers are golden brown.
- While the burgers are cooking, toast the hamburger buns in a separate pan or under the broiler until golden.
- Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun and topping with lettuce, tomato, and your favorite condiments. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For added flavor, mix in chopped fresh herbs like parsley or basil into the turkey mixture.
- Try adding cheese to the center of the patties before cooking for a melty surprise. Use cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite cheese.
