Ingredients
- Beef stew meat, cubed
- All-purpose flour
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Olive oil
- Yellow onion, chopped
- Carrots, sliced
- Celery, chopped
- Potatoes, diced
- Beef broth
- Tomato paste
- Worcestershire sauce
- Bay leaves
- Dried thyme
Instructions
Toss beef cubes with flour, salt, and pepper.
In a Dutch oven, heat olive oil and brown beef on all sides.
Add onion, carrots, and celery; sauté until slightly tender.
Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth.
Add potatoes, bay leaves, and thyme.
Cover and simmer for 2 hours or until beef is tender and flavors meld beautifully.
Remove bay leaves before serving.
