Ingredients

  • Cooked chicken, shredded 2 cups
  • Chicken broth 5 cups
  • Milk 1 cup
  • All-purpose flour 1 cup
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Butter 3 tbsp
  • Carrots, diced 1 cup
  • Celery, diced 1 cup
  • Onion, chopped 1 cup
  • Garlic, minced 2 cloves
  • Dried thyme ½ tsp
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

    • In a large pot, sauté onion, garlic, carrots, and celery in butter until softened.

    • Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and stir in cooked chicken and thyme.

    • In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and milk until just combined to form a sticky dough.

    • Drop spoonfuls of dough into the soup. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.

    • Stir gently, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
