Ingredients
- Cooked chicken, shredded 2 cups
- Chicken broth 5 cups
- Milk 1 cup
- All-purpose flour 1 cup
- Baking powder 1 tsp
- Salt ½ tsp
- Butter 3 tbsp
- Carrots, diced 1 cup
- Celery, diced 1 cup
- Onion, chopped 1 cup
- Garlic, minced 2 cloves
- Dried thyme ½ tsp
- Fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
In a large pot, sauté onion, garlic, carrots, and celery in butter until softened.
Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and stir in cooked chicken and thyme.
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and milk until just combined to form a sticky dough.
Drop spoonfuls of dough into the soup. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
Stir gently, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
