Description
A quick and easier twist on the classic takeout dish! Ground chicken is cooked in a sweet and tangy General Tso’s-style sauce for a flavorful and satisfying meal served over rice or noodles.

- 1 lb ground chicken
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp grated ginger
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil or vegetable oil
- Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, cook until fragrant.
Add ground chicken and cook until fully browned.
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin, vinegar, and brown sugar.
Pour sauce into the skillet and stir.
Add cornstarch slurry and simmer until thickened, 2–3 minutes.
Serve over rice and top with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- Make it spicy with red pepper flakes or chili garlic sauce.
- Add steamed broccoli for a full meal.
