Description

This oven-baked salmon is incredibly tender, flaky, and bursting with flavor! It’s an easy, foolproof recipe that comes together in under 30 minutes. Perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner or a fancy date night at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano (or thyme)
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

    • Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    • Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

    • Seasoning Mix: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, and oregano.

    • Coat the Salmon: Brush the seasoning mix evenly over each fillet. Drizzle melted butter on top for extra richness.

    • Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

    • Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Don’t overbake – salmon continues to cook from residual heat after being removed from the oven.
  • For extra crispiness, broil the salmon for the last 2 minutes of baking.
  • Pairing ideas: Serve with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
