Description

A delicious and healthy treat made with ripe bananas and Greek yogurt, perfect for a refreshing snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or flavored)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granola or chopped nuts (for coating)
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and cut them in half. Insert a popsicle stick into each half and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. Dip each banana half into the yogurt mixture, ensuring they are fully coated.
  4. Roll the coated bananas in granola or chopped nuts until evenly covered.
  5. Place the coated bananas back on the baking sheet and freeze for at least 2 hours or until solid.
  6. If using chocolate, melt the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Drizzle over the frozen banana pops before serving.

Notes

  • For a chocolate-covered version, dip the frozen banana pops in melted chocolate and then return them to the freezer to set.
  • Experiment with different toppings such as shredded coconut, crushed pretzels, or sprinkles for added flavor and texture.
