Description

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef short ribs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 6 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices French bread
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère or mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  • Season and sear the short ribs in oil, then remove.

  • Return ribs to the pot, add broth, Worcestershire, thyme, salt, and pepper.
