Ingredients
Scale
- 20 oz (1 ¼ lbs) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp dried basil
- ½ tsp sweet paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- Freshly ground pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp parsley, freshly chopped
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: In a small bowl, mix the flour, oregano, basil, paprika, salt, and freshly ground pepper. Dredge the chicken breasts lightly in the mixture, shaking off any excess.
- Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tbsp butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in the chopped parsley and let the flavors meld for another 30 seconds.
- Coat the Chicken: Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over the top. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes, then serve warm.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after cooking to keep it juicy.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
