Description
Cucumber Cream Cheese Sandwiches are a refreshing and delightful snack or appetizer, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 slices of white or whole wheat bread
- 1 large cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup radishes, thinly sliced (optional)
- Fresh dill sprigs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, dill, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Lay out the slices of bread on a clean surface. Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on four slices of bread.
- Arrange the cucumber slices evenly over the cream cheese on each of the four slices. If using, add a few radish slices on top of the cucumbers.
- Top each with the remaining slices of bread to create sandwiches.
- For a neat presentation, trim the crusts off the sandwiches and cut them into quarters or triangles.
- If time allows, chill the sandwiches in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving to enhance the flavors.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cream cheese mixture.
- Substitute the cucumber with thinly sliced avocado or smoked salmon for a different flavor profile.
