Description

A delicious and moist Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread that combines the sweetness of ripe bananas with a delightful cinnamon-sugar swirl.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter.
  3. Stir in the baking soda and salt.
  4. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour and mix until just incorporated.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the ground cinnamon and brown sugar together.
  7. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter.
  9. Pour the remaining batter on top and finish with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  10. Use a knife to swirl the batter gently for a marbled effect.
  11. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  12. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • For a richer flavor, try adding chopped walnuts or pecans to the batter.
  • You can substitute half of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour for a healthier twist.
