Chicken Street Tacos are simple and delicious to make, featuring seasoned shredded chicken and fresh toppings wrapped in warm corn tortillas.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the shredded chicken, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine and cook for about 5 minutes until heated through.
  2. While the chicken is warming, warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
  3. Assemble the tacos by placing a portion of the seasoned chicken on each tortilla.
  4. Top with diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, diced red onion, and chopped cilantro.
  5. Serve with lime wedges on the side and a dollop of sour cream if desired.
