- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.
- Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
- Remove the meatballs from the oven and pour the marinara sauce over them. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the meatballs cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture.
- Substitute ground turkey or beef for the ground chicken for a different flavor profile.
