Description

This Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole transforms the classic dish into a family-friendly bake with all the flavor and none of the fuss. It layers juicy chicken, savory ham, and melty Swiss cheese in a creamy Dijon sauce, finished with a crispy, buttery breadcrumb topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups cooked, shredded or cubed chicken
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped cooked ham
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  •
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together cream cheese, sour cream, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  • Spread chicken evenly in the bottom of the dish. Layer ham on top, followed by the Swiss cheese.

  • Pour the sauce evenly over the layers.

  • In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle over the top.

  • Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and golden.

  • Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

  • You can use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Mozzarella or provolone can be used in place of Swiss if preferred.
  • Serve with steamed veggies or a side salad for a complete meal.
