Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the Chicken: Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the chicken breasts.
- Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Stir in the cream cheese and whisk until smooth.
- Add the Parmesan: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until the sauce is creamy and well combined.
- Simmer the Chicken: Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Cover and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.
- Serve and Enjoy: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm over pasta, rice, or vegetables.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of milk or extra chicken broth to loosen it.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
