Description

This Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken is the ultimate comfort dish—rich, flavorful, and irresistibly creamy. Juicy, seasoned chicken breasts are seared to perfection and then smothered in a velvety garlic Parmesan sauce that’s both indulgent and easy to make. Whether served over pasta, rice, or alongside roasted vegetables, this dish is sure to become a family favorite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Season the Chicken: Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the chicken breasts.
  • Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Stir in the cream cheese and whisk until smooth.
  • Add the Parmesan: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until the sauce is creamy and well combined.
  • Simmer the Chicken: Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Cover and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm over pasta, rice, or vegetables.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of milk or extra chicken broth to loosen it.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
