Cheeseburger Tater Tot Casserole is a comforting and delicious dish that combines the flavors of a cheeseburger with crispy tater tots, making it a perfect family meal.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 bag (32 ounces) frozen tater tots
- 1/4 cup chopped pickles (optional)
- 1 tablespoon mustard (optional)
- 1 tablespoon ketchup (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the salt, pepper, and paprika.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture with the cream of mushroom soup and milk. Mix until well combined.
- Stir in half of the cheddar cheese, pickles, mustard, and ketchup if using.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Layer the frozen tater tots on top in a single layer.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños to the beef mixture.
- You can also substitute the ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
