A delicious twist on a classic dish, this Cheeseburger Tater Tot Casserole combines ground beef, cheese, and tater tots for a comforting meal.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 bag (32 ounces) frozen tater tots
- 1/4 cup chopped pickles (optional)
- 1 tablespoon mustard (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and mix well.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and cream of mushroom soup. Mix until well combined.
- Spread the mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Top with frozen tater tots in a single layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- If desired, sprinkle chopped pickles and mustard on top before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños to the beef mixture.
- For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey for the beef and use low-fat sour cream.
