Description

A delicious and easy Beef and Pepper Rice Bowl recipe perfect for dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced red and green bell peppers to the skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the peppers are tender but still crisp.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir to combine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve the beef and pepper mixture over the cooked white rice. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef.
  • Add a variety of vegetables like broccoli, snap peas, or carrots for extra color and nutrition.
