Description

This Beef and Broccoli Lo Mein is the perfect combination of tender beef, crisp broccoli, and chewy noodles tossed in a savory, garlicky sauce. It’s quick, easy, and better than takeout—ready in just 25 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti)
  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  •
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Noodles: Boil the lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  • Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.

  • Cook the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.

  • Stir-Fry the Broccoli: In the same pan, add garlic, ginger, and broccoli. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until slightly tender.

  • Combine Everything: Add the cooked beef and noodles back to the pan. Pour in the sauce and toss to coat everything evenly.

  • Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy hot!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the beef in 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tsp cornstarch for 15 minutes before cooking.
  • Swap broccoli for bell peppers, snap peas, or mushrooms for variety.
  • Use fresh lo mein noodles if available for a more authentic texture.
