- 8 ounces ziti pasta
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until they are tender but still bright green.
- Stir in the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Mix in the cooked ziti and half of the Parmesan cheese, stirring until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Top with the remaining Parmesan and the shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For a creamier texture, you can add an extra 1/2 cup of heavy cream before baking.
- If you want to add protein, consider mixing in cooked chicken or Italian sausage before transferring to the baking dish.
