This Baked Penne is a cheesy, saucy comfort food favorite layered with rich marinara, hearty ground beef, and melted mozzarella for the perfect weeknight pasta bake.

- 1 pound penne pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook penne according to package instructions; drain and set aside. In a skillet, heat oil and brown the ground beef.
- Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Combine cooked pasta and meat sauce.
- Spread half the mixture into a greased baking dish, sprinkle with half the mozzarella, then repeat layers.
- Top with Parmesan and bake for 25 minutes until bubbly and golden.

- You can substitute ground turkey or sausage.
