Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz package Beef Lit’L Smokies
- 10 oz can crescent roll dough
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the dough by unrolling the crescent roll sheet onto a cutting board. Separate it into individual triangles, then cut each triangle into three smaller pieces.
- Wrap the sausages by placing one Lit’L Smokie at the wide end of each triangle and rolling it toward the narrow end.
- Arrange on the baking sheet with space between each piece for even baking.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and crisp.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces, such as mustard, barbecue sauce, or cheese dip.
Notes
- For a golden finish, brush the dough with an egg wash (beaten egg with a little water) before baking.
- To add flavor, sprinkle the tops with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or garlic powder.
- Make-ahead option: Assemble the pigs in a blanket and refrigerate for up to 4 hours before baking.
- Freezer-friendly: Freeze unbaked pigs in a blanket and bake straight from frozen, adding 2–3 minutes to the baking time.
- Reheating: Warm leftovers in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 5 minutes to maintain crispiness.
