Creamy, cheesy, and loaded with crispy bacon, this Bacon Mac and Cheese is pure comfort food that’s perfect as a side or main dish!

- 12 oz elbow macaroni
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
Instructions
Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain.
In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook 1–2 minutes.
Slowly whisk in milk, cooking until thickened.
Stir in cheeses, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until melted.
Add cooked pasta and half of the bacon. Stir to coat.
Transfer to a baking dish, top with remaining bacon. Broil for 2–3 minutes if desired.
Notes
- Add breadcrumbs on top before broiling for crunch.
- Use smoked gouda or gruyère for flavor variety.
