- 1/2 tablespoon avocado oil
- For the Sauce:
- 1/4 cup coconut aminos
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon lime zest (zest of one lime)
- 1 tablespoon lime juice (juice of one lime)
For Garnish:
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Optional for Serving:
- 2 cups cooked green beans
- 1 cup cooked white rice
Instructions
Sear the Chicken: Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the cubed chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through.
Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together coconut aminos, honey, toasted sesame oil, ground ginger, garlic, rice vinegar, black pepper, lime zest, and lime juice until well combined.
Combine and Simmer: Reduce the heat to medium-low and pour the sauce over the cooked chicken. Stir well to coat the chicken evenly. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle sesame seeds over the chicken and serve with cooked white rice and green beans. Enjoy!
Notes
- For a crispier texture, sear the chicken in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan.
- Adjust the sweetness or tanginess by increasing or reducing the honey and lime juice.
- To make this dish spicier, add red pepper flakes or sriracha to the sauce.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over low heat with a splash of water if needed.
