For the Crust

  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar Consider using brown sugar for a deeper flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Margarine works well for a dairy-free option.
For the Filling
  • 16 oz Cream Cheese Use reduced-fat cream cheese for a lighter version.

  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract Opt for pure extract for best taste.
  • 3 large Eggs Flax eggs serve as an excellent vegan substitute.
  • 1/2 cup Heavy Cream Half-and-half can be a lighter alternative.
For the Swirls
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar Coconut sugar can also be used as a substitute.
  • 2 tbsp Butter Vegetable oil can be an alternative.
  • 1 tbsp Gel Food Coloring (Green & Purple) Gel is preferred over liquid food coloring.

Equipment

  • springform pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • electric mixer
  • Saucepan

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until it resembles wet sand. Press into a springform pan and bake for 8–10 minutes until golden.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until fluffy. Gradually add sour cream and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time, mixing gently till just incorporated.
  4. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, brown sugar, and butter until boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened. Divide and color one portion green and the other purple.
  5. Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust. Drizzle colored mixtures on top and swirl with a toothpick to create a marbled effect.
  6. Bake for 50–60 minutes until the edges are set and center is slightly wobbly. Gradually cool in the oven for 1 hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  7. Decorate with additional swirls or edible glitter before serving. Serve chilled with Butterbeer or vanilla ice cream.
