Step-by-Step Instructions for Authentic Karak Chai
  1. In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a low boil over medium heat. Add cardamom, cinnamon stick, ginger slices, and cloves. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  2. Stir in 2 tablespoons of Assam black tea to the spiced water. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until the tea is ready.
  3. Gradually stir in 1 cup of evaporated milk and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until creamy.
  4. Add sugar to taste and stir until dissolved. Strain the tea into a teapot using a fine sieve.
  5. Pour the tea into cups and 'pull' it between two containers to create a frothy top. Serve hot with snacks.
