Step-by-Step Instructions for Greek Chicken Casserole
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Gather your ingredients while the oven warms up.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add one chopped onion and 2 minced garlic cloves and sauté for about 5 minutes until soft and fragrant.
  3. Add 1 pound of chicken pieces to the skillet, stirring occasionally. Cook for about 7-10 minutes until browned on all sides.
  4. Stir in 2 cups of fresh spinach and allow it to wilt for around 2 minutes.
  5. Pour in 1 cup of tomato sauce and 1 teaspoon of dried oregano. Stir and simmer for a couple of minutes.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9x13 inches baking dish and spread it evenly.
