Ingredients
  

For the Pasta Layers
  • 12 noodles Lasagna Noodles Use no-boil or fresh for quick prep.
For the Béchamel Sauce
  • 3 cups Whole Milk Can substitute with low-fat milk.
  • 4 tablespoons Butter Margarine can be used.
  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour Gluten-free flour may alter texture.
  • 1 teaspoon Freshly Grated Nutmeg Ground nutmeg is a substitute.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground White Pepper Black pepper can be an alternative.
For the Seafood Filling
  • 1 pound Medium Shrimp Can substitute with crab or lobster.
  • 8 ounces Sea Scallops More shrimp can be used instead.
  • 8 ounces Cod Fillets Sole or tilapia can be substitutes.
  • 8 ounces Salmon Fillets Feel free to use other fatty fish.
For the Flavor Boosters
  • 2 cloves Garlic Can be omitted for milder taste.
  • 1 cup Fresh Mushrooms Any mushroom variety works.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice Can substitute with lime juice.
For the Topping
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Provolone can be substituted.
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Parsley Basil or chives can be alternatives.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil salted water in a large pot, add lasagna noodles, and cook for 8-10 minutes, then drain and lay flat.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour, add milk, and season for béchamel sauce.
  4. In a skillet, heat olive oil, sauté garlic and mushrooms, then add seafood and cook until shrimp is pink, stirring in half the béchamel.
  5. In baking dish, layer béchamel, noodles, seafood filling, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat, finishing with mozzarella on top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  7. Let rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
