- Prepare the Slow Cooker: Spray the inside of a 6-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
- Add the Chicken and Broth: Place chicken in slow cooker, pour chicken broth over it.
- Cook the Chicken: Cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-5 hours without lifting the lid.
- Shred the Chicken: Once cooked, shred the chicken in the slow cooker with two forks.
- Incorporate the Cream Cheese: Add cubed cream cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
- Mix in the Cheddar and Bacon: Add half of the cheddar, bacon, and green onions to the mixture.
- Melt the Remaining Cheese and Bacon: Sprinkle remaining cheese and bacon, cover, and let sit.
- Garnish and Serve: Add remaining green onions and serve hot over buns or as a dip.
