  • 1 cup Chicken Broth Low-sodium or homemade recommended
For the Cream Sauce
  • 1 packet Ranch Seasoning Mix Homemade recommended
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese At room temperature
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese Shredded
For the Crunch
  • 6 slices Bacon Crispy, can substitute with turkey bacon
  • 3 stalks Green Onions Sliced, chives can be used
For Serving
  • 6 pieces Hamburger or Slider Buns

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the Slow Cooker: Spray the inside of a 6-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Add the Chicken and Broth: Place chicken in slow cooker, pour chicken broth over it.
  3. Cook the Chicken: Cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-5 hours without lifting the lid.
  4. Shred the Chicken: Once cooked, shred the chicken in the slow cooker with two forks.
  5. Incorporate the Cream Cheese: Add cubed cream cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
  6. Mix in the Cheddar and Bacon: Add half of the cheddar, bacon, and green onions to the mixture.
  7. Melt the Remaining Cheese and Bacon: Sprinkle remaining cheese and bacon, cover, and let sit.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Add remaining green onions and serve hot over buns or as a dip.
