- In a large skillet, cook diced smoked bacon over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until crispy. Drain excess grease, leaving some for flavor.
- In the same skillet, add cubed chicken and diced onion. Sauté for 5-6 minutes until chicken is golden and onion is translucent.
- Pour in chicken broth and ranch seasoning mix. Bring to a boil, add penne pasta, stir well, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes.
- Stir in cream cheese and cream of chicken soup until smooth. Fold in half of the cheese and reserved bacon.
- Sprinkle remaining shredded cheese on top, cover, and cook on low for 3-5 minutes until melted.
