Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pound the chicken breasts to about 1/4-inch thickness and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Lay Swiss cheese and ham on each chicken breast, covering as much as possible.
  4. Roll each chicken breast from the narrow end and secure with toothpicks.
  5. Create a dredging station with flour, beaten eggs, and panko breadcrumbs.
  6. Coat chicken rolls in flour, dip in eggs, and roll in panko breadcrumbs.
  7. Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the chicken rolls for about 5 minutes.
  8. Transfer browned chicken to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  9. Melt butter in a saucepan, whisk in flour, add milk and bring to a thick creamy sauce, then stir in cheese and mustard.
