Baking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, and then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, and sea salt. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the wet mixture.
- Fold in chocolate chips and crushed candy canes if using.
- Scoop balls of dough onto baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Optional: Drizzle with melted white chocolate and add additional crushed candy canes on top.
