Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 slider buns
  • 1 ripe avocado sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle sauce adjust to taste
  • 1 cup lettuce shredded
  • Sliced tomatoes optional

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  2. Divide the turkey mixture into 8 equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the turkey patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the chipotle mayo by mixing the mayonnaise and chipotle sauce in a small bowl. Adjust the heat to your preference.
  5. Toast the slider buns lightly in the skillet or in a toaster.
  6. Assemble the sliders by spreading chipotle mayo on the bottom half of each bun. Place a turkey patty on top, followed by a slice of avocado, shredded lettuce, and sliced tomatoes if using. Top with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
